The most beautiful towns to visit near the campsite

The Vaucluse is one of France’s most popular tourist destinations, and not just for its sunny climate! Here you can enjoy exceptional historic sites, and as many outdoor activities than cultural visits! And just as well, our The three-star La Cerise campsite is located in the heart of the Vaucluse…

A day in Avignon

A must for tourists to the Vaucluse region, Avignon is as famous for its bridge as it is for its theater festival and its Palais des papes. A veritable rendezvous with history, the ancient capital of Christianity boasts a unique heritage, much of it listed by UNESCO. With its museums, ramparts, the garden of the Rocher des Doms and the residence of the pontiffs, the city of the popes will not leave you indifferent!

Visit l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

Also known as the Venice of Comtadine, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a jewel of the Vaucluse region. A former textile town, it still boasts the paddlewheels of the traditional mills, powered by the Sorgue current. The city is also home to over 300 antique dealers. Its Provencal markets are as famous as its August 15 and Easter fairs.

Discover the charming village of Bédoin

At the foot of Mont Ventoux, the village of Bédoin is very close to our Vaucluse campsite. Starting from its typical Provencal village, there are many beautiful walks to discover the many hamlets in the area. Fresh air, charm and authenticity!

Discover and explore near the campsite!

A holiday in the Ventoux region promises many cultural outings. In Avignon, of course, with a visit to the Palais des Papes, but also in Cavaillon with the Hôtel d’Agar, or in Gordes with the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Sénanque.

Don’t miss the castles of the Vaucluse, from Ansuis to Thézan, including Fort Saint-André in Villeneuve-lez-Avignon, Lacoste and Mornas. Roman heritage is a major tourist attraction in Vaucluse: admire the Arc de Triomphe in Orange, the Pont Julien in Bonnieux and the ancient theater in Vaison-la-Romaine!

And to explore Provence’s history, traditions and riches, there’s nothing like the Vaucluse museums between the Maison du Fruit Confit in Apt, the Musée du Vitrail in Gordes, the Musée de la Lavande in Cabrières d’Avignon and the Ecomusée de l’Ocre in Roussillon. Ancestral know-how are waiting to be discovered!
